Internet Marketing is surely one of the most significant prerequisites for today’s business. No matter if a firm is dotcom or a traditional one, internet marketing management is what every firm needs today. Rapid growth of Internet technology and high market competition between all companies in e-commerce era requires a careful and constant management in Internet Marketing. Some friends asked me about the word “Management” in the book title. It is not only about IT or internet marketing techniques and methods, but is also about how to manage these skills in a firm. There are various definitions for management; however, management from my point of view in this book is what the Frenchman, “Henry Fayol” defined as being the composition of five functions: planning, organizing, leading, coordination and controlling. These five functions should be implemented in Internet marketing for every firm that is really willing to survive in this era.
The book, Internet Marketing Management is published in Persian language. As e-commerce is a new approach in Iran, especially internet marketing is not considered by many firms, there was a necessity of a guide book that can provide marketing managers with the concept of internet marketing and how to implement it in a business. Thus, this book can be a good reference guide for most managers who are willing to step in a new approach.
